Oakville Shriners make donation to families of the ErinOak Kids

The Shriners at the Oakville Shrine Club collected a total of $2031 in cash cards during its 51st annual Christmas Party. The members like to share the Christmas spirit with the local community by helping out when they get together during the holidays. These cards will be distributed by ErinOaks Kids group to help defray some of their client families expenses.

The Shriners at the Oakville Shrine Club were recently asked for assistance from a family who child was born with a very rare condition. The 2 1/2 year old was lacking the collagen required for stiffness in her joints. As a result she suffers from extreme weakness and cannot crawl, stand or walk. She also suffers from severe scoliosis. Her surgeon recommended a back brace which the club was able to donate the required
funds to help her family purchase the prescription product. The Oakville Shrine Club has been working with the ErinOaks Rehabilation Centre for several years and enthusiastically steps in when they can to help. The Shriners are rooting for you Sydney Lynn
